  • Virgiawan Listanto is a musician from Indonesia who is highly regarded for his work that is criticized. He was born in Jakarta on September 3rd, 1961.
    His father is Haryoso, while his mother, Lies Suudijah is a beautiful woman from Tasikmalaya.
    When born, his parents gave him the name Virgiawan Listanto, but now more known as Iwan Fals.
    Iwan Fals childhood was spent in Bandung, then in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for 8 months. He never went to school in SMPN 5 Bandung, West Java.
    After graduating from SMPN 5 he continued his study at the SMAK BPK Bandung and then continued his study at STP (Sekolah Tinggi Publistik) and his last study at the Jakarta Art Institute.
    His musical talent had been seen since the age of 13 years. At that time, Iwan spent more time with singing in Bandung.
    From a young age, Iwan had fun playing the guitar singing even he was willing to train the ability to play the guitar and composing songs.

    Willibrordus Surendra Broto Renda (born Solo, November 7, 1935), is a renowned poet who is often dubbed as "Peacock". He founded the Theater Workshop in Yogyakarta in 1967 and also the Theater Workshop Renda in Depok. Since college he has been actively writing short stories and essays in various magazines. Renda was the daughter of R. Cyprian Sugeng Brotoatmodjo and Raden Ayu Catharina Ismadillah. His father was a teacher of Indonesian and Javanese in Catholic schools, Solo, as well as traditional playwright; while his mother was a dancer serimpi in Surakarta palace.
    Renda childhood to adolescence was spent in his native city. He started his education from kindergarten (1942) to finish high school, high school (1952), at the Catholic school, St. Joseph in the city of Solo. After graduating high school Renda went to Jakarta with the intention of attending the Academy of Foreign Affairs. It turned out that the academy has been closed. Then he went to Yogyakarta and entered the Faculty of Letters, University of Gajah Mada. Although not complete college, does not mean he stopped to learn.
    In 1954 he deepened his knowledge in the field of drama and dance in America, he received a scholarship from the American Academy of dramatical Art (Aada). He also attended a seminar on literature at Harvard University at the invitation of the local government. Renda literary talent already noticeable when he was in junior high school. At that time he had already begun to demonstrate its ability to write poetry, short stories and plays for various school activities. Not only writing, it turns out he is also an expert on the stage. He performed some of his plays, and mainly featured as a very talented poet. He tops the time to publish his poetry in the media in 1952 by Siasat magazine. After that, his poems was smooth flowing graced numerous magazine at the time, such as Story, Arts, Bases, Confrontation, and New Strategy.
